To further promote cooperation between China and the UK in the field of culture and art, BAHC Advisory led the delegation of Hangzhou Cultural and Creative Industry Expo (HCIE) on a visit to cultural institutions in the UK on April 29, 2024. This visit aimed to consolidate cooperative relationships with UK cultural institutions and lay the groundwork.
During this cultural exhibition visit in the UK, the BAHC team led the HCIE team to the Crafts Council in London, where they met with Natalie Melton, the Executive Director, and Laura Hollingworth, the Executive & Development Coordinator. We engaged in detailed discussions about artist residency programs and deeper subsequent cooperation with HCIE. This meeting not only strengthened the cooperative relationship between the two parties but also provided new opportunities for future cross-cultural projects.
In the afternoon, under the guidance of the BAHC team, the HCIE team went to the Building Centre to support the Nice to Meet Loong in London tour exhibition hosted by the HCIE. BAHC invited several special guests and artists to attend the exhibition, and we are also preparing for the upcoming Nice to Meet Loong tour in Paris and the founding of Hangzhou Association for the Promotion of Cultural Industry in Paris.
This visit to UK cultural exhibitions not only strengthened the cooperation between BAHC, Hangzhou, HCIE and British art and cultural institutions but also laid a solid foundation for future cultural exchange projects. Through in-depth interactions with the Crafts Council and the Building Centre, we anticipate more dynamic cross-cultural cooperation projects in the future.
